The club has been running for around 45 years and uses four courts in the grounds of Tonbridge School with approximately 90 members at present. Besides the four playing courts there is a viewing gallery above, separate changing facilities for men and women and individual showers.
No particular standard or experience is required to join the club but we do encourage all members to play in the monthly leagues after they have joined. This works out at approx. five games a month. We have a regular club night every Sunday night from 6pm-8pm and also hold quarterly squash socials where all members get to play each other followed by food at a local pub. We do not have any league teams currently playing against other clubs.
Anyone interested in joining the club is welcome to email the club secretary who will be happy to provide more information about the club and advise if there are any spaces available for new members.
Court times during term time:
Mondays to Fridays: 8.00am – 1.30pm and 6pm – 10pm (Boys only access 1.30pm – 6pm)
Saturdays: 8.00am – 1.30pm and 3pm – 10pm (Boys only access 1.30pm – 3pm)
Sundays: 8.00am – 4.00pm and 6pm – 10pm (Boys only access 4.00pm – 6pm)
Club members are expected to be clear not only of the courts but the whole building by these times.
Club Coach
Cliff Herridge (ESR Level 3 (Advanced) is the Squash Coach employed by the school in a teaching capacity, and is also the resident club coach and for lessons, new rackets and racket re stringing.
